Improvements this year include improved ventilation and cooling and a dashboard so that the rider can make adjustments to the sound without having to take his eyes away from the road to adjust settings behind him.

Escorting the BassFreight
After some repairs to the frame and some extensive modifications to the sound, the 2009 incarnation of the BassFreight, LondonSkate's music bike, was ready to be road tested. It's loud!! In fact, it's so loud that it has to be road tested as it's too loud to test properly indoors.
Accompanied by 4 of us on bikes and about 10 skaters we made our way out to Hammersmith (keeping well away from the G20 protests) where we stopped for a short break and so StevieB could make a few tweaks/log current/faff about. We then carried on the LS's Barnes route across Hammersmith Bridge and then back towards Putney and from there along the King's Road. Impressively there were no failures and although Stevie has found a couple of minor issues that he wants to correct, everything is looking good for the first LondonSkate of the season on April 15th.
